Welcome to SwipEat (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
To operate the App, we require certain information:
Account Information (via Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or Email): When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, first name, last name, and profile picture. This data is stored on our secure servers (Supabase) to manage your user account and your public profile within groups. If you use Apple with the "Hide My Email" option, we receive an anonymized relay email address.
Location Data: We request access to your GPS location. This data is solely used to find restaurants around you via the Google Places API. Your location history is not stored.
Food Preferences: We store your votes (Like / Dislike) during sessions to determine "Matches" with your friends.
Booking Data: When you book a table, we collect the necessary information for the reservation (first name, last name, time, number of people).
Restaurant Owner Data (Pro Accounts): If you are a professional, we collect information related to your establishment (name, address, contact details, business registration number/SIRET) to verify and validate your profile.
Camera and Image Gallery: We request permission to access your camera or gallery to allow you to change your profile picture (and for restaurant owners, to illustrate their establishment). These images are stored on our secure servers and are strictly used for the internal operation of the app.
Your data is used exclusively to:
Create and manage your user account.
Allow you to join group sessions ("Lobbies").
Display relevant restaurants based on your current location.
Calculate vote results to find a shared restaurant.
We do not sell your data. However, we use reliable third-party services to operate the App:
Supabase: For database hosting and authentication.
Google Maps Platform: For place searches and geolocation.
Google Firebase/Cloud: For infrastructure services.
Payment Platforms and Subscriptions: In-app purchases (SwipEat Premium) are securely managed by Google Play, the Apple App Store, and RevenueCat. We never have access to your bank details.
Partner Restaurants: When you make a reservation, we only transmit the strictly necessary information (your name and booking details) to the restaurant concerned so they can fulfill your request.
Your personal data is kept as long as your account is active. In the event of prolonged inactivity of your account for a period of 3 years, we will proceed with the permanent deletion of your data, in accordance with CNIL (French Data Protection Authority) recommendations.
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, modify, or request the deletion of your data. You can delete your account and all associated data independently at any time, directly from the app's settings. If you no longer have access to the app, you can also request deletion by email at: contact@swipeat-app.fr
